Native Plant Restoration - Rotary Row

 

Seven local Rotary Clubs: Medina, Hamburg Sunrise, Lancaster-Depew. Ellicottville, East Aurora, Middleport, and Hamilton East Wentworth contributed to the planting event that took place on July 14th at Rotary Row. This event comes as a follow up to the invasive species removal VolunteerCorps effort on April 21st of this year. West Side Rowing Club, Greenway, and Rotary volunteers planted 43 native trees and shrubs adjacent to the Greenway Shoreline trail at Riverwalk to discourage the reestablishment of recently removed invasive species, create habitat for local wildlife, and provide visual interest for pedestrians and site visitors.
